UK GDPR compliance

How Pinet Technology Ltd handles the personal data of people in the United Kingdom under the UK GDPR, and how to use your rights.

  • Last updated 26 October 2026

This page is for people in the United Kingdom. It explains how Pinet Technology Ltd (“Pinet Technology UK”) handles personal data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, and how this fits with the Turkish KVKK that applies to Pinet Bilişim Anonim Şirketi.

Who is the controller

For personal data about people in the United Kingdom that Pinet Technology UK decides how to use, the controller is Pinet Technology Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17199802, registered office 4 Raven Road, Unit 1C3-1166, London, E18 1HB, United Kingdom. Pinet Bilişim Anonim Şirketi runs the website and processes personal data collected on it under the KVKK notice; where the two companies decide together, we will say so.

What the two laws have in common

Both the UK GDPR and the KVKK require that personal data is processed lawfully, fairly and transparently, for specific purposes, in the amount needed, accurately, for no longer than needed, and securely. We apply these principles to everyone, and where the two laws differ, we follow the stricter rule.

Lawful bases

  • Answering your enquiry or taking steps at your request before a contract (UK GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Our legitimate interests in running the website securely and answering enquiries, balanced against your rights (art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Your consent for analytics cookies and for being contacted about other positions (art. 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw it at any time.
  • Legal obligation where the law requires us to keep a record (art. 6(1)(c)).

Where the data comes from

From you, when you use a form on the website or apply for a position; from your browser, when you visit the website (IP address, pages requested, date and time, browser information); and from cookies, if you accept analytics cookies.

Who receives it

Our staff who need it for these purposes; Pinet Bilişim Anonim Şirketi, which runs the website and processes the data collected on it; service providers that host the website and run our e-mail, under contract; Google, if you accept analytics cookies; and public authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.

Your rights

You have the right to be informed, to access your data, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and not to be subject to decisions based only on automated processing that significantly affect you. To use a right, use the contact details at the end of this page and say which company you mean; we answer within one month.

International transfers

Personal data moves between our company in the United Kingdom and our company in Türkiye, and, if you accept analytics cookies, to Google. We transfer personal data abroad only where the law allows it.

How long we keep personal data

Contact messages for two years; cookie consent records for three years; applications have no fixed end date and are deleted when the candidate asks (see the candidate privacy notice).

Security and breaches

We protect personal data with technical and organisational measures: encrypted connections, restricted access, logging of changes and security headers. If a breach puts your rights at risk, we will tell the Information Commissioner’s Office within 72 hours and tell you without undue delay where the law requires it.

Complaints

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would like the chance to put things right first, so please write to us as well. People in Türkiye can complain to the Personal Data Protection Board (KVKK Board).
