Cybersecurity consulting

Security assessments, penetration tests and hardening plans that tell you what to fix first, and why.

Pinet’s cybersecurity consulting gives you a practical view of how exposed your systems are and what to fix first. We write reports for two readers: the engineer who has to fix a problem and the manager who has to decide about it.

What our cybersecurity consulting covers

  • Penetration testing: controlled attacks on your web applications, networks and cloud services, carried out with your written agreement.
  • Security assessments: a structured review of your systems, accounts, configuration and the way your team works.
  • Architecture and configuration reviews: firewalls, network segmentation, remote access, identity and backup, checked against common attack paths.
  • Hardening and policies: concrete configuration changes, and the short policies that keep them in place.
  • Vulnerability management: knowing which of the vulnerabilities published every week affect the products you run. PiLabs follows the CISA catalogue of known exploited vulnerabilities and the NVD entries for the products of Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, VMware and i-PRO, and publishes summaries.

What a penetration test covers

A penetration test answers one question: can someone with a defined starting point reach something that matters? We agree the scope, the rules and the starting point with you in writing. The test can start from the outside, from an ordinary user account or from inside your network, depending on the question you want answered. The time window is agreed so that your operations can carry on.

What you get

  • A one-page summary a manager can act on.
  • Findings in order of risk, each with evidence, impact and a recommended fix.
  • A conversation with the engineers who did the work, not only a document.

How an engagement runs

  1. Scoping. You tell us what matters most; we propose what to test and how.
  2. Agreement. Scope, rules, contacts and the time window are written down and signed.
  3. Testing. We carry out the agreed tests within the agreed time window.
  4. Report. Findings are explained plainly, with the fixes in order of priority.
  5. Follow-up. After the report, a consultant agrees with you what happens next, for example checking the fixes.

Why Pinet

We also build software and supply products from Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, VMware by Broadcom and i-PRO, so we know how systems are made and how they are run. We have worked from Ankara since 2017, and we have a company in London.

How to get started
